residency centers in Finland and Scandinavia

Freedom for Creativity

Arteles Creative Residency Program, running since 2010, brings together international creative minds to explore, experiment & expand their practice and thinking. Get inspired with other energetic, ambitious artists & creative professionals from various mediums and backgrounds.

The program allows you the time, space, facilities and, most of all, the freedom and stress-free environment you need in order to develop yourself and your work. You can go experimental, test new ideas, produce works, collaborate with others, or take it as an opportunity to rethink and redefine what you and your creative practice are all about – the choise is yours.
Explorations in Nature

The location is ideal for working and processing in interaction with the nature. Located in the rural Hämeenkyrö, the residency is surrounded by rich, green landscapes. There are several lakes within walking and biking distance, and forest can be entered right from the backyard of the residency.

The Nordic Summer is famous for a reason. Once experienced, the magical light of the ‘nightless nights’ is hard to forget. It never gets completely dark, as the Sun sets only for a couple of hours, leaving behind skies with remarkable colours and clouds. In September and October, the greens turn into yellow and red. Autumn comes with misty mornings and bright starry skies – and, of course, with loads of different berries & mushrooms, to be freely collected in the woods.
